West Coast Management Group was responsible for managing the pre-construction, construction, and development of Alila Marea, a three-story, 130-room luxury hotel set on the cliffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The property features a 3,600-square-foot ballroom, a spa, an oceanfront pool, and three high-end dining outlets. The structure uses a blend of concrete podiums, post-tensioned concrete, and wood framing for durability and elegance.

Engineering & Infrastructure:

The project involved collaboration with agencies such as the California Coastal Commission and the Army Corps of Engineers, and local jurisdictions in Encinitas and Carlsbad. Key infrastructure work included under grounding SDG&E power lines at the entrance and bringing water, storm drainage, and electrical systems from off-site. Special attention was given to stormwater management near Batiquitos Lagoon to ensure environmental compliance.

Subterranean Parking & Structural Solutions:

The three-level subterranean parking structure features advanced shoring and a four-story raker beam system designed for stability in fine sand, supporting deep excavation and maximizing guest areas above.
